Technical storage
The site needs no cookie to work. One value is kept in the browser's local storage, not as a cookie. It is written when you answer the banner.

Analytics cookies
These are set only by Google Analytics 4, and only after you press Accept. Decline sets none of them. Closing the banner counts as Decline. The analytics script is not loaded before that choice.

How you choose
On the first visit the banner has Accept and Decline, with equal weight. Closing it counts as Decline. The site works either way. The choice holds for 6 months. During that time the banner stays down, unless this policy changes. in the footer opens it again. You can also delete or block cookies in the browser.
Advertising signals stay denied even after Accept. The site runs no ads.
Form check
The signup forms and the deletion form load reCAPTCHA Enterprise when the form is focused or when you type in it. This runs whether or not you accepted analytics. It checks that a browser used the form. It is not Analytics and it is not advertising.

A browser with JavaScript off can still post the form. If the server is requiring this check, that post is refused, because the check cannot run. Confirm, unsubscribe, and quiz links do not load it.
YouTube
If you follow a link to YouTube, YouTube's own site may set cookies under YouTube's rules. That happens only after you leave newsideas.app. This site does not embed a player.
